Inauguration of Kartarpur Corridor
History is in making as Prime Minister Imran Khan will be opening Pakistan’s doors to Sikh Brethren and will be welcoming them to visit the holy site in their religion, Darbar Sahib Kartarpur.
Thousands of Sikh pilgrims from across the world are eagerly waiting for Saturday’s historic opening of the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor to visit Gurdwara Darbar Sahib after Prime Minister Imran Khan and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi separately inaugurate the cross-border pathway in their respective countries.
Government of Pakistan has announced a public holiday in Narowal district of Punjab, Pakistan. The inauguration ceremony will be done around 11am in India and around 1pm in Pakistan.
The first batch of over 500 Indian pilgrims will travel to Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Narowal district of Pakistan’s Punjab province through the Kartarpur corridor. Imran Khan will inaugurate the corridor on the Pakistani side and receive the Indian Sikh pilgrims including Navjot Singh Sidhu, former Indian PM Manmohan Singh, Actor Sunny Deol and many others.
